Description
This is a headstone for Susanna Oliver, located about 12 metres south-west of the south porch of the Church of St Paternus in South Petherwin. It dates from 1786 and is made of slate, featuring a shouldered round arch head. The inscription is carved on the front in both upper and lower case letters, with a verse below. The headstone is signed by J Hender at the base. Susanna Oliver was the wife of Richard Oliver.
