Description
This is a barn located 15 metres to the west of Trewithey Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid 19th century and extended in the later 19th century. It is constructed from stone rubble with granite quoins and dressings, topped with a slate roof that has hipped ends. The barn has an overall rectangular shape, with an additional bay added to the right side. It features a shippon on the ground floor and a threshing floor or loft above.
The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical front elevation. The original section of the barn includes three shippon doors on the ground floor, with granite lintels that create a continuous string band. There are also threshing doors located to the left of centre and to the right in the later extension. The interior has not been inspected.
