Description

The vestry, located approximately 50 meters southwest of the Church of St Stedian, is likely from the 18th century and incorporates medieval fragments from the church. It is constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings and features a scantle slate pyramidal roof. The building has a square single-cell plan, with a doorway in the east wall and a window in the north wall. It is a single-storey structure with thicker walls up to the impost string. The west entrance front has a central doorway topped by a squat two-centred arch made of reused arch stones. There is a short granite-coped return wall in front of the left-hand side, while the right-hand (north) wall contains a small window featuring reused 15th-century cinquefoil tracery. The interior has not been inspected.
