Description

The Seven Stars Public House is a public house dating from the early 19th century. It features a dressed granite front, while the rest of the building is constructed from rubble with granite dressings. The roof is covered with asbestos slate and has an axial valley between two parallel sections. Brick chimneys are located over the gable ends. The building has a double depth plan with two original front rooms, although some partitions were removed in the 20th century. These rooms flank a central entrance hall that leads to a stair hall situated between large rear service rooms.

The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical west front with three windows and a central doorway, which has a 20th-century door. The first floor retains original 16-pane hornless sash windows on the left and right, while the other windows are horned copies. Inside, there have been some alterations in the 20th century, but much of the original structure remains intact, including an open-well stair with turned newels and stick balusters.
