Description
The granary and attached cartshed at Methleigh Farm, dating from the mid-19th century, is constructed from Killas and granite rubble with granite dressings, topped by a grouted scantle slate roof. It has a rectangular plan built into a bank at the rear and on the left side, featuring granite steps. The structure is extended in front on the left-hand side, with the cartshed slightly set back on the right. It has two storeys and a two-window range above two doorways, which have 20th-century ledged doors. The double cartshed on the right has large doorways. Inside, the building retains its original floors and roof structure, complete with nailed collars. This granary and cartshed are part of a planned group that shares a cobbled forecourt with the nearby mill.
