Description
This listing describes a pair of gatepiers and a garden wall located to the southeast of Newton Ferrers House, dating from around the late 17th century. The gatepiers are made of ashlar slate stone and are square in shape. They feature a moulded entablature with a plain frieze and a moulded cornice. Each gatepier has a curved neck topped with a ball finial. The gatepiers are set within a stone rubble wall that extends south from the eastern side of the southeast corner of Newton Ferrers House, enclosing the eastern side of the terraced garden.
