Description

The Dingle Monument is a headstone located in the churchyard about 5 metres north of the tower of the Church of St Melor in Linkinhorne. It dates from the 18th century and is made of slate. The headstone features a nowy head with rounded angled shoulders, and it is adorned with a carved relief of a trumpeting angel, accompanied by cherubs on both the right and left sides. The monument includes valedictory verses and commemorates Mary Dingle, who passed away in 1751.
