Description
The Dibble monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 3 metres south of the south porch of the Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul. It dates from the 18th century and is constructed from Ham stone. The tomb features a moulded plinth and has one fielded panel on each end and side, with three-panelled pilasters on the flanks. There is no frieze, and the shallow hipped top has moulded coving with rounded leading edges. This monument commemorates members of the Dibble family, including Arthur who died in 1789 and George who died in 1796.
