Description
This is a barn, now partly converted for domestic use, located adjacent to Minnimeer Farmhouse. It dates from around the mid 19th century and is constructed of stone rubble with rag slate roofs featuring gable ends. The barn was originally designed as a bank barn, likely consisting of shippons on the ground floor and a threshing floor above. The first floor has been converted for domestic use. The front elevation is a single storey with an entrance near the centre, featuring heavy double doors with a slate hood. The rear elevation, which faces the farmhouse, has a central entrance flanked by two small windows. On the first floor, there is a large loading/threshing doorway that has been glazed, with a small window on either side. The barn extends to the rear right of the farmhouse and is attached to a carriage house, forming an overall 'L' shaped plan. Additionally, there is a further extension with a lower range on the right-hand gable end.
