ST EWE POLMASSICK SW 94 NE 1/43 Signpost at SW 971 455 - GY II

Signpost. Late C19. Cast iron. The signpost has a twisted, slightly fluted column, with collar at the top and ball finial; there are two sign-plates, with serrated top edges, with sanserif lettering in upper case. One sign has GORRAN and MEVAGISSEY, and the other has GRAMPOUND and TRURO, with indicating hand. This sign has two suspended cast iron sign-plates, for TREGONEY and ST MAWES. This is one of the few remaining examples of this type of signpost.
