Description

The bridge over the River Luney, dated RHV 1876, is constructed of slatestone rubble. It is located at a wide crossroads, with the upstream side facing northeast and the downstream side facing southwest. Water flows through a tunnel beneath the roadway. The bridge features two round arches on both the upstream and downstream sides, each with slatestone arch rings. The parapet walls, which are about one metre high, are made of rubble with rubble coping and extend approximately 20 metres long at each side, turning the corner of the crossroads. Each parapet wall includes a granite datestone inscribed with the initials RHV and the date 1876.
