9/230 Barns at approximately from 15 - metres west of Trerose Farmhouse

GV II

2 linked barns and adjoining buildings. Circa mid C19. Killas rubble with granite dressings. Slurried scantle slate roofs: hipped roofs over barns; gable ends to single-storey extensions. Plan: L-shaped barns with long main barn and smaller barn at right angles in front of the right-hand side plus pair of single storey C19 extensions on the right and single storey range of stables in front of the left-hand side. Exterior: 2 storeys. Principal range has south-east front. Circa mid C19 symmetrical 2 window barn front with central doorway on the right and irregular front of possibly older barn with pigeon holes under the eaves on the left. The left-hand wall of the other circa mid C19 barn on the right has doorways at far left and right; large doorway right of middle with shuttered window over and large first floor loading doorway left of middle. There is a shallow flight of granite steps at the rear of the main range. All the elevations are unspoiled and most of the openings are original and unaltered. Some old ledged doors, shutters and windows. Interior: not inspected.
