Description
This tombchest, located 1 metre to the west of the north transept of the Church of St Materiana in Tintagel, dates from 1803. It commemorates Mary Ann Bray, the late wife of Reverend William Pitt Bray of Trebray, who died in 1803, and their daughter Joyce Bray, who passed away in 1816. The tombchest is made of slate stone rubble and features a slate lid. The rectangular lid is inscribed with both upper and lower case lettering that includes serifs.
