9/136 The Cabin

GV II

House. Dated 1794 on porch, with some later alterations. Rubble, rendered, slate- hung front, slate roof, hipped to left, rear roof in asbestos slates. Entrance to passage off-centre to left, with room to right and left and integral rear service wing of 2 storeys to left. Stair to rear right. 2 storeys on cellar, porch-off centre to left with glazed front and single pane light, with C20 door to side, inner panelled and glazed door. 2-pane sash to left and right, 2 gabled dormers, each with 2-pane sash. To rear, separate hipped roof over rear wing, C20 window at ground and first floor to left. Interior: In the entrance passage, the wall to left has been removed; vertical panelling to partition wall to right and 2-panelled door. Front door has strap hinges. Room to right has vertical panelling and dado rail, C20 fireplace to rear and cupboard in wall to right. To rear, winder stair with ovolo-moulded panelling to side wall. At first floor, vertical panelling and 2-panelled fielded doors with LH hinges. Front right room has corner cupboard with fretwork cornice and fielded panelled doors.
