Description

Fountain. Erected in 1871 by Caroline, Countess of Mount Edgcumbe, the fountain is constructed of granite. It comprises a circular basin with a projecting trough, and a central plinth rising from the basin. The plinth features a Tuscan column with a cornice and ball finial. A cast iron spout is affixed to the side of the column. The basin has been filled in, but the fountain remains an attractive feature of The Square.
