Description
Kittiwake is a house located in Maker-with-Rame, dating from the 17th century, with early 19th century and 20th century alterations. The building is constructed of rubble and is rendered, featuring an asbestos slate roof with a brick gable end stack on the left. It appears to have a double depth plan, with the main room on the left that has a gable end fireplace, and an entrance passage on the right that leads to the staircase located behind the right side of the front room. There is likely a small service room at the rear. The house is two storeys high and has two windows; the ground floor includes a sixteen-pane sash window with shutters and a small two-light window with a chamfered wooden frame and mullion. The first floor features twelve-pane sashes in exposed boxes and a six-panelled door to the right. An external stack is present on the left side of the building. The interior has not been inspected.
