Description
The Rundall monument is a headstone located in the churchyard about 15 metres south-west of the south aisle of the Church of St Sampson in Golant. It dates from the 18th century and is made of slate. The headstone features a stepped and shouldered nowy head, adorned with an incised pattern of tendrils and leaves around the border. The names of the parents, Nicholas and Elizabeth, are inscribed in a primitive Gothic script with embellishments, resembling the style of the monuments to Miechel and Avery. This monument commemorates William Rundall, who passed away in 1776.
