Description
This is a headstone dating from 1760, located 10 metres south of the tower of the Church of St Tallan in Lansallos. It commemorates Thopson Rundles of Polperro. The headstone is made of slate and features a triangular top. Above the inscription, there is a crude depiction of an angel's head. The inscription itself is in lower case lettering with serifs, and includes a verse that reads:
"Dear Wife Farewell Children
Adieu. I go to shew ye way to you
Spend not your time on earth
in vain but die that you
may live A gain."
A heart is depicted below the verse.
