Description
This headstone, dating from 1823, is made of slate and is located approximately 5 metres north of the north side of Templeton Non Conformist Chapel. It features a straight-headed design with a verse at the top that reads: "Think nothing strange/death happens/unto all/my lots today/Tomorrow/thine will fall." The inscription commemorates Rachel Moone, who died in 1823, and includes a poetic message urging the reader to reflect on their own mortality and the necessity of forgiveness through Jesus.
