Description

Eastcombe House is a house dating from approximately 1830 to 1840. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble, with a slate roof and gable end brick stacks. The house follows a double-fronted plan with a central hall and staircase, extending two rooms in depth. It has two storeys and an attic storey, with a symmetrical facade of three bays. The windows are primarily 16-pane sashes, largely retaining their original glass. A central porch features pilasters with incised channels, leading to a five-panelled door with a rectangular overlight. A single-storey 20th-century extension has been added to the left end. Pointed arched windows with sashes are located in the attic storey at each gable end. The internal joinery and 19th-century fittings remain largely intact.
