Description
The covered shelter to the Holy Well in Tawstock has possible medieval origins and was restored in 1938. It features stone rubble walls and a roof with gable ends. At the front gable end, there is a rounded stone finial adorned with a Maltese cross in relief. The structure is small and rectangular in plan, with a semi-circular headed archway at the front gable end that includes a 20th-century latticed door. Above the door, there is a plaque that reads, "Holy Well, Tawstock. Restored 1938. A.B.S.W."
