Description

This headstone, dated 1787, is located in St Mary's Churchyard, about 1 metre south of the nave and 4 metres east of the south porch. It is made of slate and features a shaped top that is carved with two winged cherub-heads and a coronet set against a background of foliage. The inscription commemorates Ann, the daughter of Thomas Leaman, who died on 7th September 1787, and includes several lines of verse below.
