Description

This is a boundary stone located against the garden wall of Love Lane Cottage, approximately 60 centimeters northeast of the cottage gate. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of granite. The stone has a short oblong shape with a rounded top, and the letter "C" is carved on the front face. This boundary stone marks the length of the approach road to Old Bow Bridge that the county was responsible for maintaining, extending 300 yards on either side of its bridges.
