Description

This boundary stone, dated 1800, is located on the north side of the road, 40 metres east of the junction. It is built into the foot of a field wall and is made from a large trapezoidal block of coarse sandstone. The stone features a chamfered segmental arch cut into its lower edge, along with a roughly incised inscription reading "C . B ) 1800 W . O )". Its design suggests that it may have originally served as a lintel from a late 16th century or early 17th century building before being reused in its current position on the parish boundary.
