Description

This is a tombchest built in 1825, located 19 metres south of the west tower of Egloshayle Church. It commemorates Ralph Brown, who was formerly of Tintagel and died at Tredanick in 1825, along with his wife, who died in 1826. The tombchest is made of ashlar slate stone and features a slate lid, which has unfortunately broken into two pieces. The chest is inscribed with two oval panels that contain the dedications.
