Description

This tomb chest, located 20 metres north of the nave of the Church of St Breock, dates from 1750. It commemorates Elizabeth, the wife of James Warne, who died in 1750, as well as their daughter Elizabeth, who died in 1763, and James Warne's second wife Elizabeth, who died in 1764, along with James Warne himself, who died in 1773. The chest is made of stone rubble and features a rectangular slate lid. The inscriptions are presented in upper and lower case lettering with serifs.
