WARBSTOW SX 29 SW 3/250 Tombchest of Ann and John Tom 4 - metres to south of east end of Church of St Werburgha

GV II

Tombchest. 1754. In memory of Ann, wife of John Tom, Yeoman who died 1754 and also said John Tom who died in 1765. Stone rubble chest with slate rectangular lid inscribed in upper and lower case lettering with serifs. Incised pattern around the edge. The slate lid has been broken in two but remains complete.
