Description

The tomb chest of the Rickard family, located 15 metres to the northwest of the west tower of the Church of St Breock, was constructed in 1844. It commemorates members of the Rickard family, including Jessie, daughter of James and Myra Rickard, who died in 1844, as well as James Rowell Rickard (1883) and his wife Myra (1887). The tomb chest is made of slate and is rectangular in shape, resting on a granite plinth. Its corners feature moulded engaged vase-shaped balusters, and both the cornice and base are also moulded.
