Description
No. 22 Broad Street is a town house with a later shop, likely built in the 18th century and remodeled in the late 19th century. The exterior features a render that has replaced the original stucco on studwork, and it has a steep dry slate roof with a cast-iron ogee gutter. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with a two-window range. The mid-19th century windows are hornless sashes with margin panes. The house doorway is located on the left and includes a traceried overlight and a 20th-century door. Above the shop front, there is a full-width moulded entablature with consoles and fascia, which complements the mid to late 19th-century two-light shop front that features two-pane horned sashes and a doorway on its left. The interior has not been inspected.
