Description
This well house, located about 4 metres east of the Old College, dates from around 1508 and was built for Dame Thomasine Percival's grammar school. It is constructed from coursed polyphant ashlar and features a moulded plinth. The structure is a tall polygonal shape with a moulded cornice and a rectangular door opening, which has a modern boarded door. The roof is not visible, and the parapet appears to be a later simplification of what may have been a more elaborate roof design.
