Nancledra Mill

Nancledra Mill is a water mill dating from the late 18th century. The west side is constructed of granite ashlar, while the rest is made of granite rubble with granite dressings. It features a steep hipped roof, with one side covered in grouted scantle slate and the other in corrugated asbestos. An iron waterwheel is located at the rear left of the building. The mill has a rectangular plan with a later lean-to cartshed on the right side. There is an overshot wheel and an earth ramp leading to a first-floor loading doorway at the right end. The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical east front with two windows and a central doorway, though there are no windows on the first floor of the front. The entrance features a 19th-century ledged door and four-pane horned sash windows. First-floor windows are present at the rear and on the left-hand end. The interiors have not been inspected, but there may be some interesting machinery inside.
