Description

TOWEDNACK NANCLEDRA SW 43 NE 4/221 Nancledra Mill 6.7.78 GV II Water mill. Circa late C18. Granite ashlar to west side otherwise granite rubble with granite dressings. Steep hipped roof, one half with grouted scantle slate the other half covered with corrugated asbestos. Iron waterwheel. Plan: rectangular mill with later lean-to cartshed on the right. Overshot wheel at rear left, earth ramp to first floor loading doorway at right hand end. Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 2 window east front with central doorway. No windows to first floor of front. C19 ledged door and 4-pane horned sashes. First floor windows at rear and at left-hand end. Interiors: not inspected. There may be some machinery of interest.
