Description

Georgia Bridge is a road bridge over the Red River, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of granite rubble and features a single span with roughly hewn granite lintels that support the road surface and create low parapets. Iron railings, threaded through iron stanchions, sit atop the parapets, with granite monolithic terminal piers at each end. The north-east pier serves as a boundary stone inscribed with "JW 78." The iron railings on the south side have been replaced with 20th-century versions.
