Description
Teetotal Hall is a hall dating to 1852, as indicated by the datestone. It is located on Lower Market Street in Penryn. The building is constructed of roughly-coursed granite, with a rock-faced plinth, quoins, and keyed, pilastered surrounds. It has a dry slate roof behind a triangular pediment. The front is rectangular, with a 3-bay, 3-window arrangement. The ground floor features round-arched openings containing windows with glazing bars; a smaller window is positioned above a wide doorway, which contains a pair of 3-panel doors and a plain fanlight. Tall mid-floor sash windows are located on either side of the doorway. The upper floor contains a gallery. The frieze below the pediment is inscribed with "TEETOTAL HALL". The interior was not inspected during the listing process.
