Description
Tresaddern Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, likely dating from the earlier 18th century and altered over time. It is constructed of uncoursed granite rubble with quoins, and the facade is currently pebble-dashed. The building features a thatched roof and brick chimneys. It has an L-plan layout, consisting of a three-unit single-depth main range with a rear wing on the right-hand side.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three bays. It displays raised plaster quoins and a first-floor sill-band. The ground floor features three windows and two doorways arranged alternately, though the central window and both doorways are now covered by a modern conservatory. Both doors are glazed, and all the windows are late 19th-century sashes without glazing bars, set in raised surrounds. The thatched roof extends around gable chimneys, and there is a lean-to at the left end. The rear wing on the right-hand side is a high single storey with a corrugated sheet roof.
Inside, there is a large rectangular fireplace at the right-hand gable, which includes a cloam oven on the left side, although the lintel has been replaced. At the gable end of the rear wing, there is a large and deep rectangular opening that was once a fireplace.
