Description

This is a barn with a waggon shed located northeast of Nancegollan Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from granite rubble, featuring dressed granite quoins, threshold stones, jambstones, and lintels. The barn has a scantle slate roof in an L-shape, with the rear range at a lower level. The structure has two storeys and includes a waggon shed at the corner, which is integrated with a shippon on two sides, along with grain or fodder stores, and possibly another waggon shed on the right.

The west front is likely symmetrical, featuring a central doorway with a loading doorway above it. There are ground floor windows on the left and right, a large doorway on the left with a window above, and probably a similar doorway on the right, which is now obscured by a 20th-century lean-to, along with a window above. The left end has a loading doorway, and the left wall of the rear range displays a slightly irregular grouping of mostly doorway openings. The barn is grouped around an unspoiled courtyard of farm buildings that relate to both Nancegollan House and Nancegollan Farmhouse.
