Description
The gazebo, located in the grounds of a former vicarage in Marazion, dates from the mid to late 19th century. It features stuccoed walls and a cornice with modillions beneath an embattled parapet. The structure has a small octagonal plan and is a single storey. There is a doorway on the north face and windows on the south, east, and west faces. It has a plinth, a plain doorway with a ledged door, and tall window openings fitted with 2-pane horned sashes. The interior has not been inspected. The design reflects a 19th-century trend for castle and Gothic styles, likely influenced by the nearby St Michael's Mount. This gazebo is a modest example but is prominently situated opposite the Mount.
