Description
Pengwith is an 18th-century house located on Fore Street in Marazion. It features painted rubble walls, granite sills for the ground floor openings, a slate sill for the first floor, and wooden lintels. The roof is made of asbestos slate and slopes lower at the rear, with brick chimneys positioned over the gable ends. The layout consists of two rooms, with a parlour on the left and a hall/kitchen on the right, separated by a cross passage; there may also be a shallow pantry behind the parlour. The building is two storeys high and has a slightly irregular three-window south front, which was likely originally a nearly symmetrical five-window front but was remodeled around the late 19th century and partly rebuilt on the left side of the first floor. There is a wide doorway to the left of the center, featuring a six-panel door, and the windows are four-pane horned sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
