Description
The gateway with railings and piers at the north-west entrance to Prideaux House was built in 1808. It is made of granite, with cast and wrought iron elements. The gateway features a range of railings approximately 4 metres long on each side, with shafts topped by arrow-head finials and stanchions that have urn finials, all set on a granite base with coping. The terminal granite piers have pyramidal caps. In the center, there is a pair of cast iron gates with arrow-head designs arranged in two tiers, flanked by wrought iron railings and piers that also have cast iron urn finials.
