Description
Dorill Cottage, located on Quay Way in East Looe, is a town house dating from the 17th century that has been adapted for use as a shop. The building features roughcast render over what is likely rubble, and it has a rag slate roof that is hipped at the front. An external chimney breast is situated on the left side of the structure. The cottage has a shallow-depth plan and stands three storeys tall with a two-window range. The early 19th-century windows are 16-pane hornless sashes. On the ground floor, there is an original doorway to the left of center, framed with a chamfered oak frame from the 17th century, although it now has a 20th-century door. To the right of this doorway is a later entrance, and on the left side, there is a 20th-century plate-glass shop front. The interior has not been inspected but is expected to be of interest.
