Description

The Gould tomb, located approximately 40 meters south of the Mission Church of St Mary, is a Grade II listed chest tomb commemorating John Gould, who died in 1823 at the age of 81. This tall, rectangular limestone chest tomb is set on a granite plinth. It features an inscribed oval plaque on one side, a moulded cornice, and a stylized urn on the lid, all within a dressed granite plinth that was once part of an iron fence.
