Description
The tombchest of Joan Loll, dating from 1723, is located 2 metres to the northeast of the north porch of the Church of St Martin in Lewannick. It commemorates Joan, the wife of George Loll and daughter of Richard Steer. The chest is made of stone rubble and features a rectangular slate lid. It is inscribed with both upper and lower case lettering that has serifs, and it is decorated with a carved hourglass, skull, and floral motif.
