Description
The First World War Memorial in Lewannick commemorates those who lost their lives between 1914 and 1919. It was erected through public subscription and unveiled in 1921. The memorial is made of granite ashlar and has a square plan. It features an aedicular design, raised on a moulded plinth. Each corner has pilasters with cusped headed shallow niches on all four sides, with recessed panels containing inscriptions. The steeply pitched granite roof has gabled ends above each face.
