Description
The north entrance to the churchyard of the Church of St Martin is a gate, gate-piers, flanking wall, and a flight of steps, dating from around the 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with granite dressings. The entrance features a pair of square gate-piers made of ashlar blocks from local stone, which have granite plinths and granite pyramid caps. The gate itself is made of 19th-century iron, with the uprights ending in arrowheads. The flanking wall is also made of stone rubble. A flight of granite steps leads from the road to the entrance and continues from the entrance up to the north porch of the Church of St Martin.
