Description

Maid Marian Foodstores and the adjoining house on the left is a building that likely dates from the 18th century, with extensions and remodels made in the late 19th century. The structure is made of rendered and painted stone rubble, topped with a slate roof featuring gable ends. The building originally had a single depth plan, heated by end stacks, and was extended at the rear, possibly in the late 19th century, to create a double depth plan. The right side of the building houses a shop, while the left side contains domestic accommodation. The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical three-window front elevation. The entrance to the shop features a 20th-century door located to the right of the centre, accompanied by a 20th-century shop window to the right. On the left side, there are two 19th or 20th-century four-pane sash windows, and three similar sash windows on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
