House, now house and shop. L-shaped block. The portion of the north wing behind the shop is a C17 or earlier timber-framed building with plaster infilling, largely refaced with stone rubble and tile-hanging. Tiled roof. Casement windows. The shop portion built out in front of it is modern. Trowell is the south-west wing which was added in the angle of this building and Trowell Cottage adjoining on the south, probably in the C19. Gable facing west. Two storeys. Three windows. Included for group value.
