Description
The gate piers and iron gates located approximately 60 metres north of Treviles Farmhouse consist of two pairs of gate piers and three iron gates. The outer piers are likely from the late 18th century, while the inner piers date to the mid-19th century. The tall outer piers are made of granite ashlar, square in shape, featuring plinths and moulded cornices topped with goblet-shaped finials that have conical lids. The inner piers are square granite monoliths with rounded tops. The wide central iron gate has double spaced bars beneath a lock rail, with an arched brace and an inverted arch brace above; the stiles have scrolled tops and the bars are finished with finials. The smaller side gates are similar in design but do not have top braces.
