SW 94 SW RUAN LANIHORNE

5/26 Gate piers and iron gates - approx. 60 metres north of 30-5-67 Treviles Farmhouse GV II

2 pairs of gate piers and 3 iron gates. Outer piers probably late C18 and inner ones mid C19. Tall outer piers are granite ashlar, square on plan with plinths and moulded cornices surmounted by goblets with conical lids. Inner piers are square granite monoliths with rounded tops. Wide central iron gate has double spaced bars under lock rail and arched brace with inverted arch brace over; scrolled tops to stiles and finials to bars. Smaller side gates are similar but without top braces.
