Description
Two town houses, numbers 3 and 4 Victoria Square, were built in the early 19th century. The exterior of number 3 is rendered over studwork, while the left side has a dry Delabole slate roof and a brick end stack. Number 4 has an asbestos slate roof with projecting eaves supported by wooden brackets. The houses were altered when converted into shops and now have a deep plan. They are three storeys high and have an overall three-window frontage, although number 3 has a two-window front. Stucco quoin strips define the corners. The original 16-pane hornless sash windows retain their moulded wooden architraves. Glazing bars have been removed from the lower sashes of the first floor windows. The ground floor now features two 20th-century shop fronts. The interior remains uninspected. The replaced stucco likely mirrored the detail found on the adjoining numbers 1 and 2.
