Description

This is a 19th-century milestone located in St Columb Major. It is made of painted granite and stands about 70 centimetres high. The stone is roughly hewn and has a polygonal shape with four faces on the front. The lettering is carved and painted in sans-serif upper case, and there is a benchmark at the top. The distances indicated are to St Columb (1 mile), Mawgan (3 miles), Newquay (7 miles), Colan, Bodmin (12 miles), and Truro (16 miles).
