Description
The Cellar is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with later alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble and features a concrete tiled roof with gable ends. The building has a gable end stack on the right side with a 20th-century brick chimney.
The layout consists of a one-room plan, with living accommodation located on the first floor, accessed via an external stair and heated by the gable end stack. The ground floor served as a fish cellar, entered through a doorway on the right side.
The exterior has two storeys. The front features an external stone stair leading to a 20th-century plank door. To the left at the upper level, there is a late 19th-century six-pane sash window and a small single-storey 20th-century addition. The right end has a chamfered wall, with a doorway to the cellar that has a 20th-century plank door and a 20th-century two-light window to the right. On the first floor, there is a late 19th-century six-pane window to the left and a single-light four-pane casement to the right. The rear has no openings to the cellar but features two 20th-century two-light windows with external shutters on the first floor. The left end of the building is attached to an adjoining house. The interior has not been inspected.
