Description
Coombekeale Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with granite quoins, and features slate hanging on the left side. The roof is slate with half hipped ends, and there are stone rubble end stacks. The building has a two-room layout with a cross or through passage plan, heated by end stacks. It has been extended across the rear, likely in the later 18th or 19th century, with a dairy to the rear left and a kitchen to the rear right, both heated by a rear lateral stack.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front with a dressed stone plinth. The entrance features a 19th-century panelled door with a slate hood, flanked by two 19th-century three-light casements that have been fitted with renewed dressed granite lintels. On the first floor, there are three two-light casements with timber lintels. The interior has not been inspected.
